Anganwadis
ICDS - Integrated Child Development Services
Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) is a comprehensive welfare scheme launched by the Government of India in 1975. The primary objective of the program is to ensure the health, nutrition, and overall development of children under 6 years of age, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and adolescent girls. In Kerala, this project is implemented through Anganwadis under the Department of Women and Child Development.

Objectives
- Ensure holistic development of children aged 0-6 years.
- Reduce malnutrition and incidence of diseases.
- Improve the health status of pregnant and lactating mothers.
